You know how sometimes someone tells you to read a certain book because it will "change your life"? And it doesn't?
Well this isn't one of those cases.
If you care AT ALL about the plight of women in Afghanistan this book will make you angry, will make you cry, will make you happy and hopeful... all at the same time. And though you might have heard stories like this in the media etc, the ART of storytelling in this novel makes the women's fear, struggle and heartache so much more real to women / people like us who could never even imagine living the way they do.

If there's one book you read this year, make it this one. I know it's only April and there are hundreds of amazing stories waiting to be read. But trust me! I never buy books for my mom because, as much as she LOVES reading, she never seems to be able to find the time to finish anything, but I will be buying her a copy of this one.
